Bank PKO BP to present strategy for years 2016-2020 at turn of Q1/Q2

TAG'S: PKOBP, Banking

Poland's largest lender by assets PKO BP is working on a strategy for years 2016-2020 and plans to announce it at the turn of Q1 and Q2, bank's strategy and investments director Pawel Borys told PAP.

"PKO BP is currently working on a new strategy for years 2016-2020," Borys said. "We plan to announce it at the turn of Q1 and Q2."

The new strategy will "adress current challenges for the banking sector" in terms of regulation, technologies and modern customer relations channels, the official said.

Back in June 2015, CEO Zbigniew Jagiello suggested for PAP that he wants the new strategy to assume the bank will remain a dividend-paying firm.

The previous strategy, to 2015, assumed the bank would achieve CAR of at least 12% and Core Tier 1 ratio at 11%.
