PKN Orlen fuels to grant PLN 4600 in 2017 bonuses to all staff, avg PLN 1600 to select employees

Listed fuel group PKN Orlen will pay out PLN 4600 in obligatory bonuses and grant on average PLN 1600 discretionary wage hikes in 2017.

The resolution follows failed talks with trade unions over 2017 wage increases.

The average sum per employee will amount to PLN 6200, including an obligatory payment of PLN 4600 and a discretionary payment of PLN 1600, PKN Orlen's press office specified for PAP. That represents PLN 400 more than the final proposal of the management during the failed negotiations, Orlen claims.

Trade union representatives speaking to PAP pointed to a lack of previously offered obligatory wage hikes.

PKN Orlen failed to reach a deal on wage negotiations due to the opposition of two trade unions and will make an administrative decision on the matter, the firm's press office informed PAP on March 1.

PKN Orlen employs ca. 4.5k staff in the its main refinery in Plock. The avergae gross wage at Plock exceeds PLN 9.7k.
