Polimex Mostostal aims big, targets the top spot in the Polish construction market

TAG'S:

Listed builder Polimex Mostostal eyes regaining a "leading" position on the Polish construction market through focus on four segments: power, chemicals-gas-fuels, industrial construction and structures, the company said in a presentation on the strategy to 2023.

POWER: Polimex will focus on improving margins in the segment, improving efficiency of engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) contracts, expansion abroad and developing servicing activities. To achieve the goals, Polimex will seek to improve cost efficiencies, develop project management and design competences. The firm plans to focus on conventional generation projects, heat projects and hydro plants, while giving up on transit infrastructure and non-hydro renewable energy.

CHEMICALS-GAS-FUELS: Focus on improved margins, strengthening relations with key clients in Poland, developing EPC competences in the segment and expansion to Western European markets. To achieve the goals, Polimex will seek to improve cost efficiencies, develop project management competences and build relations with and credibility for new foreign clients. Polimex plans to give up on transit infrastructure projects in the gas and fuel segment.

INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION: Focus on developing competences in the segment and building a portfolio of references.

STRUCTURES: Focus on maintaining high margins and increasing sales of steel structures, with "cautious" increase in production capacities for steel structure and potential for increasing production capacities for gratings.
