PKP PLK Railway in a bold move to ink the dotted line for deals worth billions

Poland's railway infrastructure operator PKP PLK plans to sign al contracts in the frame of railway modernization program estimated at PLN 67 bln by the end of 2019, PKP PLK CEO Ireneusz Merchel told reporters.

"I am 100% convinced that we will contract the entire [EU financing] perspective within the next two years," Merchel said. "That is by 2019, including 2019, we will certainly contract [everything]."

So far this year PKP PLK has signed deals worth over PLN 10 bln and by the end of this year the stock of contracts signed is expected to exceed PLN 20 bln, the CEO also said.
