Blow to government’s Digital Poland program as Telecom giants Netia resign

TAG'S:

Listed altnet telecom operator Netia resigned from the government's Digital Poland program nationwide, extending an original decision to drop eight regions to its entire slate of concessions, Netia said in a market filing.

As before, Netia cited a "renewed analysis by the company of the profitability of realization of the projects." Results of the review "were a negative signal for engagement."

Netia said June 6 it would resign from 8 regions where it was slated to secure some PLN 300 mln in subsidies in the program.
